Career Prospects

Under the mentor ’ s system, Ph.D. in neuroscientific students will have an in-depth knowledge of the core theoretical and research methods of molecular and cytological neuroscience, system and computational neuroscience, cognitive and behavioural neurology, neurography and neurography, and will have systematic training in key scientific techniques such as electrophysiological records, optical and multimodular imaging, behavioural experimental design, neurodata analysis, computational modelling and machine learning, with integrated scientific capabilities across life sciences, psychology, computing, engineering and data science.

Graduates have great prospects for development in the following fields: • Scientific institutions and laboratories: National or international centres for the scientific study of the brain, research institutes of neuroscience, laboratories of biomedicine and cross-sciences in basic neuromechanical research, neurotechnological development, brain function analysis and methodological innovation.

• Biomedicine and neurotechnologies: research on neuro-diseases, neuro-image and brain signal analysis, neuro-regulation technology development and conversion of scientific results in bio-medicine enterprises, brain science and neuro-technology companies, medical devices and digital health industries. • Data science and artificial intelligence direction: large-scale neurodata modelling, algorithm development, brain signal resolution and intelligent model design in positions related to neurodata science, computational neuroscience, brain intelligence, machine learning and intelligent systems.

Through systematic doctoral-level academic training and interdisciplinary scientific practice, graduates will develop solid theoretical foundations, experiments and computational capabilities in the neurosciences, develop independent scientific capabilities, innovative thinking and interdisciplinary collaboration, and lay a solid foundation for long-term development in academic research, cutting-edge technology and high-end industries.
